Getting started

Joining

Address Play.CourtofRelics.net for Java and Bedrock; Bedrock also needs port 25565.

Java Edition

1. Open Minecraft: Java Edition and click Multiplayer.
2. Click Add Server.
3. In Server Address, paste Play.CourtofRelics.net.
4. Click Done, then double-click Court of Relics to join.

Bedrock Edition

1. Open Minecraft and tap Play, then the Servers tab.
2. Scroll down and tap Add Server.
3. Server Address: Play.CourtofRelics.net. Port: 25565.
4. Tap Save, then join.

Your first hour

1. Read the Codex book you were given, or open it any time. /guide
2. Pick a god; your first pledge is free and lets you leave the tutorial. /pledge
3. Work through the starter checklist; each task pays 13 Gems. /tq
4. Mine, farm or fight to earn money from fourteen careers. /jobs
5. Spend your skill points on the skills you use most. /skills
6. Take today's quests for money and Favor. /quests

Pledging and switching

• Your first pledge costs nothing and gives you God Rank 1 and your first God Point.
• Change gods any time for free. Each god keeps your ranks, God Points and Favor for when you return.
• After each switch you wait 1, then 3, 5 and 7 days. Go 7 days without switching and it starts at 1 again.
• Olympian switching. Switching to any god you're Olympian with is free, and so is going back to your home god.
• Skill points stay put. Points you earn belong to the god you earned them under.
• Not mid-fight. No switching while combat-tagged or while an ability is cooling down.

Casting abilities

Java

1. Your abilities sit in hotbar slots 8 and 9. Select the slot to cast.
2. Your Special casts with a double-tap of Sneak, or turn on a third button in slot 7.
3. Prefer keys? Type /ability java: Sneak + F, Sneak + Left-click with empty hands, and double Sneak. Rebind them in /ability.

Bedrock

1. The same hotbar buttons: tap slot 8 or 9 to cast.
2. Double-tap sneak for your Special, or add a slot 7 button in /ability.
3. Want a wand instead? /console gives the Divine Focus: attack for Primary, use for Secondary, sneak + use for Special.

• Pick three. Own up to five abilities; choose which three go on your controls in /ability.
• PvP is opt-in. Abilities hit players only if you both typed /pvp on.
• Armour counts. Armour cuts ability damage: full netherite takes 60%, the best enchanted sets 30%.
• Tuned for PvP. Many abilities hit players differently than mobs. Combos cap at 12 hearts per 2 seconds.
• Dungeons and bosses. Abilities hit high-health dungeon mobs harder, up to 6 times. Bosses take 65%.
• Cooldowns are saved. Logging out or a restart never resets them.
• Ares runs on Fury. No cooldowns: his abilities spend Fury he builds by landing hits.
• Safe zones. No casting in or into sanctuaries and protected regions.
