You pledge to one god. That god decides your abilities, which skills level fastest, and which pantheon you fight for. 15 gods are open now; Hypnos is in early access. Your first pledge is free. Switching later costs money and has a cooldown.

Zeus

King of the gods, god of the sky · #FFAA00

You reflect part of every hit you take back at the attacker. Later ranks add an ally damage shield, an aimed lightning hit and a three-wave area strike.

What you get when you pledge

  • Retribution (reflect damage)
When a mob damages you, 20% of the damage you took (after armour) hits them back, capped at 10 (5 hearts), at most once every 1.5 seconds. Hits under 5 damage reflect nothing. Projectiles reflect onto the shooter. Grows to 65%, cap 26, at Olympian.
  • The Retort (blind and push) (Disciple (rank 2))
Whenever Retribution fires, the attacker is also blinded for 2 seconds and pushed away from you (sideways 0.5, upward 0.5). Blindness grows to 3 seconds at Elder, the push to 0.8 at Demigod.
  • Storm boons (standing potion effects) (Disciple (rank 2))
Hidden potion effects (no icon, no particles). Disciple: Speed I in rain under open sky. Grows to Speed II, Strength II and Resistance I in rain under open sky, Speed I always and Haste I under open sky by Demigod.

Abilities

Thunderbolt

How to use: Sneak + F (the swap-hands key) while aiming at an enemy; you can hold anything. With the Divine Focus in your main hand: left-click (attack).

What it does: Instant hit on the living enemy you are looking at, up to 20 blocks at Guardian; walls block it. No projectile. The target gets a lightning flash (visual only, no fire) and 8 damage (4 hearts) before armour. From Hero it chains to the nearest unhit enemy within 6 blocks of the last, each taking full damage: 1 jump at Hero, 3 at Olympian. No valid target: no cooldown spent.

Aegis

How to use: Empty BOTH hands, then sneak + left-click (attack) at anything. With the Divine Focus in your main hand: right-click (use); hands need not be empty.

What it does: A damage shield for you and allies. Everyone eligible within the radius when you cast is covered: you, Zeus players and your party (up to 24, most injured first). At Disciple: 6-block radius, 3 seconds, 25% less damage (before armour) from every source. Covered players keep it if they walk away; it ends for all if you die or change world. Hard cap: 65% off any one hit.

Olympian Judgment

How to use: Double-sneak (sneak twice within 0.45 seconds) while looking at the target block (floor or wall). With the Divine Focus in your main hand: sneak + right-click also works.

What it does: Three waves of damage on a block you aim at, up to 24 blocks at Demigod, in line of sight. Sparks mark a 4-block radius; after a 1-second warning it strikes 3 times, 0.75 seconds apart. Each strike hits up to 8 visible enemies in the radius for 8 damage (4 hearts) to mobs or 3 (1.5 hearts) to players, before armour; repeat strikes on the same target deal half.

Range24 blocks at Demigod → 28 at Olympian; radius 4 → 5Damage8 (4 hearts) per strike, 3 vs players → 10/4 at OlympianLasts1 s warning, then 3 strikes over 1.5 s (3.25 s total)Cooldown100 s at Demigod → 85 s at OlympianUnlocks atDemigod (rank 10)

Good to know

  • Retribution only reflects onto mobs until Guardian (rank 5); from Guardian it also reflects onto any player whose hit landed on you, housemates included.
  • Retribution reads damage taken after Aegis, so it reflects less while shielded. It is not reduced against bosses; two Zeus players never ping-pong.
  • No Zeus ability fires a projectile or real lightning. Thunderbolt's and Retribution's lightning is a visual flash (no fire); Judgment shows sparks only.
  • Storm boons need open sky (except Demigod's always-on Speed I): a roof, cave, glass or leaves turns them off. 'Rain' includes snow in cold biomes.
  • Thunderbolt hits players as hard as mobs; Judgment hits players much less (3 to 4 per strike vs 8 to 10).
Sea pantheon

Poseidon

God of the sea · #55FFFF

You hit harder with a returning trident, get breathing, speed and healing in water, and can launch yourself, throw nearby enemies upward and drop a slowing water field.

What you get when you pledge

  • Trident damage bonus
Every trident hit does more damage: thrown from either hand, or swung from your main hand. +8% at Initiate. Grows to +54% at Olympian; +60% at every rank during Buff Week. Shares the plugin's damage-bonus cap (+200% vs mobs, +60% vs players).
  • Blessings while in water
While you touch water (ankle-deep counts) you have Water Breathing. Later ranks add Conduit Power (Torchbearer), Dolphin's Grace and Night Vision (Elder), Regeneration (Demigod) and Strength II while your head is under water (Demigod). Buff Week: Regeneration II, Strength III, Dolphin's Grace II.
  • Trident returns (Disciple (rank 2))
A thrown trident without Loyalty comes back to your inventory one tick after it lands or hits (dropped at your feet if your inventory is full). A trident with Loyalty is left to vanilla. If you are offline when it lands, it is removed.
  • Impaling hits everything (Acolyte (rank 3))
Impaling adds a flat +2.5 damage (1.25 hearts) per level to every trident hit, thrown or melee, against every mob and player, not only the water mobs vanilla covers. It is added after the percentage bonus and ignores the damage-bonus cap.

Abilities

Earthshaker

How to use: Sneak + F, with anything in your hands (trident included). With the Divine Focus in your main hand: left-click, attack an entity, or sneak + F.

What it does: Every enemy in a sphere around your feet that you can see takes damage and is thrown up and outward. At Guardian: 3 block radius, 4 damage (2 hearts) to mobs and players alike, upward velocity 0.6, outward 0.36. Touching water or standing in your own King's Tide doubles the radius. Hits at most 24 enemies, nearest first.

Storm (Riptide)

How to use: Empty both hands, then sneak + left-click, with a trident elsewhere in your inventory. With the Divine Focus in your main hand: right-click (trident may be off-hand).

What it does: You are launched the way you are looking, on land or in water, no Riptide enchantment needed; nothing is thrown. Launch power 1.8 at Disciple. Touching water or standing in your own King's Tide multiplies it by 1.3; Riptide on the trident adds 20% per level. The upward part is never below 0.45. Your next landing takes no fall damage. Does not work while riding or gliding.

King's Tide

How to use: Double-sneak (press sneak twice within 0.45 seconds). With the Divine Focus in your main hand: sneak + right-click, or double-sneak.

What it does: A water field is placed where you stand and stays there. At Demigod: 5 block radius, 10 seconds. A 1.2-second wave hits up to 8 enemies you can see, once each: 8 damage (4 hearts) to mobs, 3 to players, pushed outward. Enemies inside then have Slowness I. Standing in it counts as touching water: your water blessings switch on and Earthshaker and Storm get their wet bonuses.

Jobs. Best paid: Fisher (+30%). Also good: Rancher, Explorer (+15%). Pays less: Farmer, Artisan (−15%). Worst: Blacksmith (−30%).

Good to know

  • Earthshaker hits players as hard as mobs; King's Tide's wave does much less to players (3–4 vs 8–12). Bosses are never thrown, pushed or slowed.
  • Wet means touching water (ankle-deep counts) or standing in your own King's Tide. Only your head under water counts for the Demigod Strength.
  • Storm's normal gesture needs both hands empty; a trident in your off hand blocks it. Riptide tridents still work, adding 20% launch per level.
  • Storm's fall-damage waiver covers one landing only. Landing on flat ground or water right after the launch spends it; no saving it for a cliff.
  • Your water effects show no potion icon or particles. They switch on and off with the condition every server tick.
Underworld pantheon

Hades

God of the dead · #AA00AA

Keep part of your XP and items on death, heal from hits on living things, undead stop targeting you, and raise up to three captured mobs as bodyguards.

What you get when you pledge

  • Grave Mercy (XP and items kept on death)
When you die you keep 15% of your XP at Initiate; the rest goes to your grave. From Acolyte each item stack you would drop has a 10% chance to stay with you. Grows to 75% XP and 62% items at Olympian.
  • Capture Bank
Every monster-type hostile you kill yourself (not your Shades) is saved as a capture of its plain vanilla type. The bank holds only the newest two; a third pushes the oldest out. Never captured: bosses, ravagers, ghasts, phantoms, slimes, magma cubes, shulkers, hoglins.
  • Undead indifference (Disciple (rank 2))
Undead mobs (zombies, skeletons, phantoms, the Wither and the rest of the game's undead list) cannot target you, even after you hit them. Off inside dungeon zones and sanctuaries, so dungeon undead still fight you.
  • Lifesteal (Disciple (rank 2))
Every hit you land (melee, your own projectile or Grave Edict) on a living mob or player heals you for 8% of the damage after armour, up to your max health. Does not work on undead mobs or Shades. Grows to 20% at Olympian.

Abilities

Shade Host

How to use: With both hands empty, sneak + left-click. Holding the Divine Focus, right-click instead. Empty-handed sneak + right-click on a ground block's top face opens the Shade Bank.

What it does: Summons every ready Shade around you; the same input recalls them instantly. Shades follow within 5 blocks and attack only the last thing you hit or that hit you, never on their own and never housemates or party members. Health and damage are the mob's vanilla values times your Shade Level. Slots: 1 at Disciple, 2 at Guardian, 3 at Elder. A killed Shade locks its slot for 120 seconds.

Grave Edict

How to use: Look at an enemy and press sneak + F (swap-hands key). Holding the Divine Focus, left-click (attack) at the enemy instead.

What it does: An instant ray, not a projectile: it hits the first enemy in your sights; walls block it. Deals 4 damage (2 hearts), or 2 (1 heart) to a player, plus Weakness I for 5 seconds (not bosses). Your Shades are ordered onto it, and for those 5 seconds their hits on it deal +10% (+5% vs players). Works with no Shades out. Nothing in sight: refused, no cooldown spent.

Gates of Erebus

How to use: Double-tap sneak (crouch twice within 0.45 seconds). Same input on Java and Bedrock, with or without the Focus.

What it does: No aiming. Every standing Shade within 24 blocks is healed for 20% of its max health and gets 4 absorption (2 yellow hearts), Speed I and +20% damage (+10% vs players) for 8 seconds. At Olympian: 35% heal, 8 absorption, +30% / +15%, 12 seconds. It does nothing to you or other players and does not reset a fallen Shade's recovery timer. Jobs. Best paid: Miner (+30%). Also good: Enchanter, Builder (+15%). Pays less: Farmer, Lumberjack (−15%). Worst: Healer (−30%).

Good to know

  • Shade kills drop no XP orbs and give you only Combat XP and quest credit: no favor, wages, skill XP or captures.
  • Humanoid Shades (zombie, skeleton, piglin, illager types; vexes weapon only) take armour and weapons in the Shade Bank; deposited gear never drops and is returned.
  • Cannot switch or leave your house while a Shade is standing. Recalling never starts a recovery timer; relogging does not skip one.
  • Player kills keep the victim's whole inventory and XP, so Grave Mercy and item protection only matter when you die to mobs, falls or lava.
  • The locked roster slot message says 'Reach Elder first', but slots really unlock at Disciple (1), Guardian (2) and Elder (3).

What you get when you pledge

Every XP orb you pick up gives more experience: +15% before Initiate, +20% at Initiate. Rounded to a whole number. Grows to +65% at Olympian (+70% in Buff Week).
  • Luck (Acolyte (rank 3))
Permanent Luck I, which improves fishing and loot-table rolls. Hidden: no potion icon, no particles. Grows to Luck II at Demigod.
  • Wounded blessing (Demigod (rank 10))
While your health is at or below 50% of max you get Resistance I and Absorption II (hidden: no icon, no particles). They are removed on the first tick after you heal above 50%.

Abilities

Riposte (Metis' Foresight)

How to use: Empty both hands, then sneak + left-click (air, block or enemy; the punch never lands). With the Divine Focus in your main hand: right-click, no sneak.

What it does: Opens a 2.5-second window on you. The first enemy hit inside it is reduced by 50%, and the attacker (or a projectile's shooter) takes 50% of that hit back if a mob, 25% if a player. Nothing is fired. One hit closes the window. Only hits from mobs, players or their projectiles count; fall, fire and drowning do not. Cooldown is spent even if nothing hits you.

Aegis Regard (Owl's Verdict)

How to use: Look at an enemy within 32 blocks, then sneak + F (swap hands). With the Divine Focus in your main hand: left-click while looking at it, no sneak.

What it does: Marks the first enemy in your line of sight within 32 blocks; nothing is fired. The target glows for 15 seconds and every Athena member (ranked or not) deals bonus melee and arrow damage to it. The bonus ramps from 40% of full to full over the mark's life: +30% vs mobs at Guardian (about +12% in the first second), +0% vs players until Elder. God-ability damage gets no bonus.

Each ore gets a glowing outline only you can see, visible through stone, for 5 seconds. Counts any block ending in _ORE plus Ancient Debris. Good to know

  • Riposte needs both hands empty; otherwise sneak + left-click is a normal punch. Punching a villager, NPC or companion does not cast it.
  • Riposte's reduction grows to 85% at Olympian, but the server caps plugin damage reduction at 65% per hit, so High Priest and above are clipped.
  • Riposte ignores hits from housemates, party members, pets, PvP-blocked players and other god abilities or custom enchants; a shield-blocked hit keeps the window open.
  • Aegis Regard marks do not stack, Thera's Hound's Mark stands down while one is up, and the chain never jumps to a player.
  • The mark ends early if the target dies or you log out, change world or rank. Bosses can be marked and take the bonus.

What you get when you pledge

  • Blood Debt (Guardian (rank 5))
12% of damage reaching your health (after armour) is banked, up to 10 damage (5 hearts). Your next melee hit deals the bank as extra damage; arrows do not. Expires 8 seconds after you were last hurt. Grows to 50% and 20 damage at Olympian.
  • Knockback resistance (Keeper of the Flame (rank 6))
You ignore 15% of every knockback. Grows to 25% at Elder, 60% at Demigod and 80% at Olympian.

What it does: Arms you for 5 seconds; the punch does nothing. Your next melee hit in that window exposes the target for 4 seconds. While exposed, your melee hits on it deal +10% against mobs or +5% against players; arrows and sweep side hits do not count. The exposing hit gets no bonus. Fall, fire, lava and drowning are not reduced. Gives no free Fury. Affects only you. Grows to 12 seconds, 30% more banking and a 20%/10% cut at Olympian.

Good to know

  • Fury builds from hits that land, not kills; animals, bosses and players count. Sweep side hits never count. Logging out wipes Fury and Blood Debt.
  • Sundering Blow needs both hands empty: store your offhand shield or food first. While sneaking empty-handed you cannot punch; the swing becomes the gesture.
  • Fury, Blood Debt and Sundering Blow share a bonus cap: +200% vs mobs, +60% vs players. Fury goes first, so PvP clips Fury past +60%.
  • While you have Fury, Hunter and Archer job pay rises with the bar: a full bar pays about +60% at Initiate, +180% at Olympian.
  • No Ares ability deals direct damage, so the boss damage multiplier never applies; Fury and Blood Debt work at full rate on bosses.

Your arrows do more damage the farther they fly, you cannot be blinded, and from Guardian you fire a straight arrow of light through every enemy it passes.

What you get when you pledge

  • The Far Shot
Every arrow, bolt, trident or thrown item you launch does extra damage based on how far it flew. The first 8 blocks give nothing. At Initiate you gain +1.8% per block, capped at +75%. Grows to +3.6% per block, cap +210%, at Olympian.
  • Clear Sight
Blindness, Darkness and Nausea cannot be put on you. Any attempt to apply one is cancelled. It does not remove an effect you already had before pledging.
  • Foresight (Guardian (rank 5))
The first hit you take after 10 seconds without any damage is reduced by 15% at Guardian. Works on every damage type. A running fight gives no discount until you have gone 10 seconds unhurt. Grows to 60% with a 7-second calm at Olympian.
  • Daylight blessings (Disciple (rank 2))
Potion effects that stay on you while it is day. Disciple: Speed I. Elder: Speed I, Haste I, Regeneration I. Demigod: Speed I, Haste II, Regeneration II, Strength I, plus Fire Resistance I under open sky (no block above), day or night.

How to use: Sneak, then left-click (attack) with both hands empty. With the Divine Focus: right-click. No aiming needed; it goes off around you.

What it does: An instant burst around you; nothing travels. What it does: Fires an arrow of light from your eyes where you look. It flies dead straight, no gravity, for about 350 blocks and passes through up to 64 bodies. Every enemy it passes is hit once for 20 damage (10 hearts) at Guardian, mobs and players alike. Far Shot does not apply. It stops at the first block and vanishes if you die, log out or teleport. What it does: Zenith launches nothing itself. For 8 seconds you get 3 charges. Each bow shot drawn at least 90% (any crossbow shot counts) spends one, hit or miss. When one of those arrows hits an enemy, a burst goes off at the impact: up to 4 enemies within 2 blocks each take 4 extra damage (2 hearts) if mobs, 1.5 if players, plus the arrow's own damage. • From Demigod, Far Shot's free distance drops from 8 blocks to 5.
  • Solar Flare needs both hands empty: put away your shield and off-hand item first. A sneak-punch on a villager or NPC does not fire it.
  • A Zenith charge is spent when the arrow leaves the bow: a miss wastes it, an under-90% draw spends nothing, a multishot volley costs one.

What you get when you pledge

  • The First Arrow (opening strike)
Your first hit in a fight does +30% damage, by melee or your own arrows, bolts and tridents. Needs 15 seconds with no hits landed or taken and no combat tag. Hitting anything, even a cow, uses it. Grows to +130% at Olympian.
  • The Killing Blow (execute) (Guardian (rank 5))
Extra damage on targets below 50% health, on the same hits as the opening strike. Up to +15%: nothing at 50% health, rising evenly to the full bonus at 0. Stacks with the opening strike. Grows to +80% below 65% health at Olympian.

How to use: Empty both hands, sneak, then left-click while looking at a block surface (floor, wall or ceiling) within 10 blocks. With the Divine Focus in your main hand: right-click.

What it does: Places a trap instantly where you look; nothing travels. The ring (1.5-block radius) arms after 0.75s and lasts 12s. The closest enemy in it that you can see takes 3 damage (1.5 hearts), or 1.5 if a player, then is rooted: mobs 1.5s, players 0.6s. Bosses are damaged, never rooted. Hephaestus

God of the forge · #FF8C1A

You get longer-lasting gear and fire immunity, and your hits wear down armour and set targets on fire. Abilities: a counter-hitting guard, a pinning net, a falling anvil.

What you get when you pledge

  • Fire and lava immunity
Damage from fire, burning and campfires is cancelled. You may still look like you are burning but lose no health. From Guardian, lava and magma-block damage is cancelled too, and your burning is cleared so you stop burning after climbing out.
  • Durability save and Masterwork forging
Each time an item of yours would lose durability, there is a 15% chance the wear is skipped. Gear you make at the Forge (/forge) gets +40% maximum durability, once per item, Hephaestus only. Grows to 57% and +130% at Olympian.
  • Molten (armour bite and fire) (Disciple (rank 2); fire from Acolyte (rank 3))
Every hit you land (melee, projectile or ability) deals 12 durability damage to each armour piece the target wears, never breaking one. From Acolyte, hits also set the target on fire for 3 s. Grows to 38 durability and 5 s fire by Olympian.
  • Underground blessings (Disciple (rank 2))
While no open sky is directly above you (caves, mines, any roof), you get hidden standing effects: Haste I at Disciple; Haste II and Night Vision at Elder; plus Resistance I and Strength I at Demigod. They end when you step under open sky.

Tempered Guard

How to use: Empty both hands (off hand too), sneak, then left-click anything. With a Divine Focus in your main hand: right-click instead. The click is never a punch.

What it does: Guards you for 5 s. Damage from any entity (mob, player, arrow) is reduced: 15% from non-players, 10% from players. Fall, fire and lava damage are not reduced. Any enemy that lands a melee hit on you takes a counter-hit: 2 damage (1 heart) to mobs, 1 (0.5 heart) to players, once per attacker per second. Projectile hits are not countered. Counter-hits count as your hits, so Molten applies.

  • Famine-proof (Hunger immunity)

  • The Self-Sowing Field (replant and wet farmland) (Disciple (rank 2))

Timed harmful potion effects (Slowness, Poison, Wither, Weakness, Blindness, Nausea, Hunger and more) are shortened when first applied to you: 18% shorter at Initiate. Instant Damage is not reduced. Grows to 97% at Olympian, 100% in Buff Week.
  • The Hex
Harmful effects from a splash potion you throw last longer on others, never on you: +30% at Initiate. The same bonus stretches the Libation's harmful effects. Grows to +165% at Olympian.
  • Good drink lingers (Disciple (rank 2))
Beneficial effects you get from a bottle (drinking, a splash potion, a lingering cloud or a tipped arrow) last longer: +25% at Disciple. Your standing house blessings and god-ability effects are not extended. Grows to +140% at Olympian.
  • Company (Disciple (rank 2))
While 2+ other players are within 12 blocks of you, you get hidden standing effects (no icon, no particles): Speed I at Disciple. Any players count, not only housemates. Grows to Speed I, Strength I, Regeneration II, Resistance I, Absorption I at Demigod.

Abilities

Libation

How to use: Hold a potion (drinkable, splash, lingering or BreweryX) in either hand, look at the target, then sneak + F. Divine Focus: left-click, then pick a potion.

What it does: Nothing is thrown: the bottle's effects land instantly on the first mob or player in your crosshair, up to 12 blocks. Every effect lands one level stronger (capped at V). Harming I does 12 damage to mobs, capped at 6 on players. Never hits you or pets; harmful bottles cannot hit housemates or party members. One bottle is used up, and the cooldown starts, only when the cast lands.

Reveler's Ruse

How to use: Empty both hands, sneak, then left-click (air, a block or a mob; not an NPC, villager or companion). Divine Focus: right-click with the Focus held.

What it does: You step back up to 3 blocks, leaving a lookalike decoy behind. For 6 seconds you are invisible and chasing mobs drop you. Up to 6 hostile mobs within 12 blocks attack the decoy. It bursts after 2 hits or when its time ends: enemies within 2.5 blocks get Weakness I and a Hysteria mark for 6 seconds. Hitting an enemy ends your invisibility. Bosses and players are never lured.

RangeStep back 3 blocks → 5 at Olympian; lure radius 12 blocks.DamageNone; the burst only applies Weakness I and the Hysteria mark.LastsDecoy, invisibility and Hysteria: 6 s → 8 s at Olympian.Cooldown35 s at Guardian → 28 s at Olympian.Unlocks atGuardian (rank 5)

The Bacchanalia

How to use: Press sneak twice quickly (within 0.45 seconds); hands can hold anything. Divine Focus: sneak + right-click with the Focus held, or double-sneak.

What it does: A ring of purple particles appears where you stand, stays for 6 seconds and does not follow you. Every second, the 8 nearest enemies inside take 2 damage (mobs) or 1 (players). A mob carrying Hysteria from your Ruse takes an extra 4 damage (2 hearts) once. Up to 6 hostile mobs attack each other instead and cannot hurt players while frenzied. Housemates, party members and pets are never hit.

Good to know

  • Damage from the Bacchanalia, Libation bottles or frenzied mobs never pays you and seals the mob for 2.5 s; wait, then finish with a weapon.
  • While sneaking, F never swaps your hands; it always tries the Libation. With no potion held you just get a message.
  • The Ruse's step back is a teleport: casting it ends a running Bacchanalia field and any Libation effects you had running.
  • The Libation can put a helpful bottle on a housemate or any player, but only if both of you have /pvp on.
  • BreweryX only: Brewery drinks taste 1 star better (3 at Demigod), 30% of the alcohol never lands (98% at Olympian); they work as Libation bottles.

Hermes

Messenger of the gods · #7FD4FF

You move faster, double jump, dash, leave a speed trail for housemates and party, and get a late-game speed buff with light damage reduction. Nothing deals damage.

What you get when you pledge

  • Fleetfoot speed
Permanent extra movement speed (no potion icon): 5% at Initiate. Grows to 28% at Olympian, 30% during Buff Week. Caveat: it is written at login as 3% and rank-ups do not rewrite it; see the notes.
  • Double jump (Disciple (rank 2))
Jump, then tap jump again in the air for a second push: 0.60 up, 0.45 sideways (your held WASD direction) at Disciple. Re-arms each time you land; one extra jump per landing. Not in Creative or Spectator. Grows to 1.0 up, 0.75 sideways at Olympian.
  • Safe landing (Disciple (rank 2))
The fall after a double jump or Windstep dash does no fall damage. It covers one descent only: spent by the first fall-damage hit or when you land unhurt, so it cannot be saved for a cliff later. Same at every rank.
  • Jump Boost (Guardian (rank 5))
Permanent Jump Boost I from Guardian. It is a standing potion effect re-checked every tick, so it follows your rank at once. Grows to Jump Boost II at High Priest.

Abilities

Windstep

How to use: Sneak + F. With the Divine Focus in your main hand, left-click (attack) instead.

What it does: A dash: you are pushed the way you look with strength 1.4 at Guardian; lift is capped at 0.25. Then Speed II for 3 seconds. The landing does no fall damage. It moves only you. It refuses near a wall (1.5 blocks), in a vehicle, on a mount or while gliding. The dash wipes your Slipstream trail; for 1.5 seconds no trail is recorded and Rush gives no damage reduction.

Hermes' Slipstream

How to use: Sneak + left-click with both hands empty (air, block or entity; it never punches). With the Divine Focus in your main hand, right-click instead.

What it does: You get +5% movement speed for 5 seconds at Disciple and leave a trail up to 12 blocks long while moving on the ground (not airborne, riding, gliding or flying). Housemates and party members within 1.5 blocks of it get +10% speed, lasting 1 second after leaving the trail. You never get the ally bonus. Allies in a tournament are skipped. It does nothing to enemies, mobs or bosses.

Messenger's Rush

How to use: Double-sneak: press sneak twice within 0.45 seconds. With the Divine Focus in your main hand, sneak + right-click also works.

What it does: For 8 seconds at Demigod you get +15% movement speed, Windstep dashes push 1.1 times harder sideways, and while you move on the ground, damage from entities is reduced 10% from mobs and 5% from players. The reduction needs movement within the last 0.25 seconds, not riding, gliding or flying. Fall, fire and non-entity damage is never reduced. It affects only you.

Good to know

  • Fleetfoot speed is written as 3% at login and first pledge. Your rank's value only lands after a Buff Week start/end or reload while online.
  • Fleetfoot, Slipstream, Rush and Dromos sprint share a +35% speed cap: with Fleetfoot at its Demigod 22%, only 13 of Rush's 15 points land.
  • Slipstream's self bonus and Rush do not stack; the larger wins. Windstep's Speed II is a potion effect outside the cap.
  • The double jump re-arms only on landing; it cannot be chained. If combat tag cancels flight toggles, the press disarms and you never keep flight.
  • A teleport of any kind, dying or logging out ends every running Hermes ability effect at once.

Aphrodite

Goddess of love · #FF9BD2

You bind one living thing so it regenerates and hits harder; you can heal it and take part of its damage. From Guardian you revive downed players.

What you get when you pledge

  • The bond: your target regenerates and hits harder (Disciple (rank 2))
While bound (see Devotion) and within link range, your target has Regeneration II the whole time, and hits it lands itself deal +10% damage. Arrows and other projectiles it fires are not boosted. Grows to +33% at Olympian.
  • The bond: you take a share of its damage (High Priest (rank 9))
When your bonded target takes damage from anything, 15% of the raw hit is cut from it and dealt to you instead. Refused if it would leave you at or below 30% health; then the target takes it all. Grows to 38% at Olympian.
  • Company boon (no bond needed) (Disciple (rank 2))
With 2 or more other players (any house) within 10 blocks you get Regeneration I, no bond needed; it stops the moment they leave. By Demigod it needs only 1 player and gives Regeneration II, Resistance I, Absorption II and Strength I.
  • Aphrodite's hold (downed players) (Guardian (rank 5))
Any other player within 10 blocks (friend or enemy) who takes a killing hit is downed for 10 seconds instead of dying: half a heart, frozen, safe from damage. If not revived in time they die normally. Radius grows to 12 at Hero.

Abilities

Devotion (bind / release)

How to use: Empty both hands, sneak, aim at the target and left-click. Divine Focus: hold it and right-click while aiming. To release, repeat at your target or at nothing.

What it does: Binds you to the living thing you are looking at, up to 26 blocks with clear line of sight: any player, any mob, any tamed pet. Not bosses, not yourself. One bond at a time; a new bind replaces the old. While bound it gets Regeneration II and +10% on its own hits. The bond breaks if it dies, leaves range or changes world, and is lost on logout.

Range26 blocks → 40 at Olympian. Needs line of sight.Cooldown3 seconds per bind. Release has no cooldown.Unlocks atDisciple (rank 2)

Mercy / Bond Mend

How to use: Sneak + F. Aim at a downed player's glowing soul marker to revive, or at your living bonded target to mend. Divine Focus: hold it and left-click.

What it does: Revive: look at a downed player's soul marker within 10 blocks, clear line of sight, and they stand up at 50% health (5 hearts) with 3 seconds of protection. Works on enemies too. Mend: with no soul in sight, your bonded target within 10 blocks regains 5 health (2.5 hearts) and its absorption is topped up to 3 (1.5 hearts). If already full, nothing happens and no cooldown is spent.

Heart of Olympus

How to use: Double-tap sneak (twice within 0.45 seconds). No aiming; it goes off where you stand. Divine Focus: hold it and sneak + right-click, or double-tap sneak.

What it does: Instantly heals up to 8 allies (you, your house, your party) within 6 blocks. Each regains up to 6 health (3 hearts), or 4 (2 hearts) if combat-tagged, gets absorption topped up to 4 (2 hearts) for 8 seconds, and loses 1 harmful effect (Wither, Poison, Blindness, Darkness, Weakness or Slowness, in that order). The most wounded are picked first. Never heals mobs, pets, enemies or a non-player bonded target.

Good to know

  • You can bind any player, not just housemates, so binding an enemy makes them regenerate and hit harder. Hostile mobs can be bound; bosses cannot.
  • The hold happens even while revive is cooling; if you cannot cast in time they die 10 seconds later. Void damage is never held.
  • Revive's cooldown starts only on a successful revive. Logging out while downed does not save a player: the death happens at logout or next login.
  • A tamed pet you bind stops getting Thera's pet damage reduction while bound; the bond is its whole protection.
  • Every 5 seconds a line of heart particles runs from you to your bonded target, and your action bar reads 'bound to' plus its name.

Hecate

Goddess of witchcraft and crossroads · #7060FF

You hit or heal what you look at, teleport short distances, and cast a circle around you. You see in the dark and take less magic damage.

What you get when you pledge

  • Witch's Sight (Night Vision in the dark)
In darkness (block light and sky light both 4 or lower, so caves and buildings, not open night sky) you get Night Vision I with no time limit. It never flickers. Removed the moment you step into light level 5 or higher.
  • Magic resistance
You take 12% less damage from magic-type hits: harming potions, poison and wither ticks, dragon breath, the warden's sonic boom. Grows to 15% at Torchbearer, 20% at Demigod, 28% at Olympian.
  • Ender pearl protection
Ender pearl landing damage is cut by 50%. Pearl cooldown is unchanged. Grows to 60% at Torchbearer and tops out at 65% from Demigod (config says 80% and 100%, but the shared 65% damage-reduction cap applies).
  • The Grimoire (spell loadout)
Type /hecate to equip one aspect per family (Witchfire, Crossroads, Circle of Three). One cooldown per family; swapping never resets it. Locked while combat-tagged, dueling, in a dungeon, holding boss aggro, a spell is active or on cooldown. 1 preset; 3 at Olympian.

  • Binding and Banishing Flame seal a mob for 2.5s: a sealed kill pays nobody favor, XP or boss rewards. Finish with a weapon 3s later.
  • Sneak + F at nothing just says "Look directly at a living target first" and never casts Crossroads. Exception: Saving Flame heals you instead.
  • Crossroads needs BOTH hands empty, off-hand too (or the Divine Focus in your main hand); that sneak + left-click never breaks blocks or hits mobs.
  • Both Crossroads teleports need a safe standing spot (no liquid, magma or campfire), a loaded chunk, the same world and build permission; they dismount you.
  • Potion effects you put on others end early if you die, change world, log out or get teleported by something else.
Underworld pantheon

Persephone

Queen of the underworld, goddess of spring · #A62A62

You switch between two stances with a double-sneak: Spring builds absorption and roots enemies, Underworld reduces incoming hits, pulls enemies in, and can cancel one death.

What you get when you pledge

  • Kore's Return (Spring passive)
In Spring, each melee hit on a hostile mob or boss gives you 2 absorption (1 heart), up to 4 total, at most once every 6 seconds. Ranged hits do not count. Grows to 4 per hit, cap 8, every 4 s at Olympian.
  • Queen's Authority (Underworld passive)
In Underworld, any enemy within 12 blocks that hurts you is marked Claimed for 10 seconds. Each hit from a Claimed attacker deals up to 8% less damage to you (4% from players). Grows to 15% (7.5% from players) at Olympian.
  • Cycle Marks — Bloom and Claimed (Keeper of the Flame (rank 6))
Briarbrand marks Bloom; Chains, or being hit in Underworld, marks Claimed. Casting the other ability on a marked target combos: Briarbrand +2 damage, +0.5 s root, 2 absorption; Chains +3 damage, +1 pull, Wither I 2 s. Marks last 10 s (12 s from Legend).
  • Royal Cycle (Olympian (rank 12))
Every mark combo also starts Royal Cycle for 5 seconds, at most once every 6 seconds, matching your stance. Spring: +10% movement speed and 2 absorption. Underworld: your direct hits deal +10% damage to mobs, +5% to players, nothing to bosses. Switching stance ends it.

Abilities

Descent and Return (stance switch)

How to use: Press sneak twice quickly (both presses within 0.45 seconds). With the Divine Focus in your main hand, sneak + right-click also works.

What it does: Switches you between Spring and Underworld. Your cooldowns and marks are kept, but an active Crown of Spring, an armed Pomegranate Covenant and Royal Cycle all end. From Hero, switching into Spring removes one harmful effect and gives Speed I for 3 seconds; into Underworld gives Resistance I and +50% knockback resistance for 2 seconds. A Covenant save forces you back to Spring and restarts this cooldown.

Briarbrand (Spring, targeted)

How to use: In Spring: sneak + F while aiming at an enemy. With the Divine Focus in your main hand, left-click while aiming.

What it does: An instant line-of-sight strike on the enemy in your crosshair, up to 15 blocks; nothing is fired. The target takes 6 damage (3 hearts), or 2 (1 heart) if a player. Non-boss targets are rooted with Slowness X for 1.25 seconds (0.5 s players). From Keeper it leaves a Bloom mark and combos on Claimed targets. A wall blocks it; no valid target, no cooldown spent.

Chains of Asphodel (Underworld, targeted)

How to use: In Underworld: sneak + F while aiming at an enemy. With the Divine Focus in your main hand, left-click while aiming.

What it does: An instant line-of-sight strike on the enemy in your crosshair, up to 16 blocks. The target takes 7 damage (3.5 hearts), 2.5 to players. Non-boss targets are pulled toward you (pull 3 on mobs, 1.25 on players) and get Weakness I for 3 seconds (2 s players). From Keeper it leaves a Claimed mark and combos on Bloom targets. A wall blocks it; no valid target, no cooldown spent.

Crown of Spring (Spring, self)

How to use: In Spring: sneak + left-click with both hands empty (nothing in your off hand either). With the Divine Focus in your main hand, right-click.

What it does: A buff on yourself for 8 seconds: 4 absorption (2 hearts, capped at 8 total) and Speed I. During it, your next 3 hits on enemies each set off a thorn burst: every enemy within 2.5 blocks of what you hit (up to 4 targets) takes 2 damage (1 heart), 1 to players. Leftover absorption and Speed are removed when it ends. Switching stance ends it early.

Pomegranate Covenant (Underworld, self)

How to use: In Underworld: sneak + left-click with both hands empty (nothing in your off hand either). With the Divine Focus in your main hand, right-click.

What it does: Arms a one-time death guard for 7 seconds. If a hit would kill you, the hit is cancelled: health set to 4 (2 hearts), 4 absorption, no damage for 1.5 seconds, and you are forced back into Spring. A player's killing blow always gives 4 health, 4 absorption and 1 second of immunity. Void, world border and /kill deaths are not stopped. Cooldown is spent even if it never triggers.

Skills and jobs

Skills. Levels fastest: Opora (Farming). Faster than normal: Pharmakeia (Brewing), Ponos (Mining). Slower than normal: Toxeia (Archery), Techne (Crafting).

Jobs. Best paid: Farmer (+30%). Also good: Alchemist, Miner (+15%). Pays less: Archer, Blacksmith (−15%). Worst: Artisan (−30%).

Good to know

  • A combo always needs a stance switch between the two casts: mark, double-sneak, then cast the other ability before the mark expires.
  • Rewards warning: anything hit by Briarbrand, Chains or a thorn burst gives no favor, wages, XP or kill credit if it dies within 2.5 seconds.
  • Dying, teleporting (ender pearls and chorus fruit included) or changing worlds ends Crown, Covenant and Royal Cycle and clears your marks and roots.
  • The Covenant cancels the killing hit before a Totem of Undying would be consumed.
  • Persephone has no standing potion effects; the stances, marks and abilities above are the whole blessing.

Boreas

God of the north wind · #79DFFF

You get an instant frost hit on whatever you look at, a wind cone that throws enemies away, and at Demigod a snowstorm that freezes mobs in place.

What you get when you pledge

  • Northborn: freeze immunity
You never build up freezing. Powder snow does no freeze damage: your freeze counter clears every time you move, and any freeze damage against you is cancelled.
  • Northborn: short Slowness
Any Slowness put on you lasts half as long. Permanent (infinite) Slowness is not changed.
  • Chill and Brittle (Acolyte (rank 3))
Each ability hit adds a Chill stack, up to 3: Slowness I, II, III, each lasting 1.75 s on players or 2.75 s on mobs. Stacks reset after 10 s. The third is Brittle: a Rimebolt landing it does +2.5 bonus damage, +4 at Olympian.

Abilities

Rimebolt

How to use: Sneak + F while looking straight at an enemy. With the Divine Focus in your main hand, left-click (attack) instead; sneak + F still works.

What it does: An instant hit on the living enemy you are looking at; no projectile. Range 18 blocks; a wall blocks it. Mobs take 6 damage (3 hearts), players 2.5 (1.25 hearts). From Acolyte, each hit adds a Chill stack; landing the third makes the target Brittle and adds +2.5 bonus damage. One target. Bosses take full damage, not 65%. Nothing in your sights: no cooldown spent.

North Wind

How to use: Sneak + left-click with both hands empty, aiming where the wind should go; look steeply down at your feet for the ground burst. With the Divine Focus, right-click.

What it does: Throws enemies; nothing is fired. Wind tunnel: a cone 15 blocks long (walls cut it short), 2.6-block radius at the far end; every enemy inside is pushed along your look direction (velocity 1.35 mobs, 1.05 players; a jump is 0.42). Ground burst: everything within 4.5 blocks is thrown up and out, and you launch up (velocity 1.25). Both give you Slow Falling. No damage. Bosses are chilled but never pushed.

Whiteout

How to use: Double-sneak: press sneak twice within 0.45 seconds. With the Divine Focus in your main hand, sneak + right-click also works.

What it does: Starts a snowstorm where you stand; it does not follow you. Radius 5 blocks, 4 up and down, lasts 10 seconds. Mobs inside are frozen in place (Slowness XI); players get Slowness III and a frosted screen. Every 2 s it deals 1.5 damage (0.75 heart) to mobs and 0.5 (quarter heart) to players, 5 pulses in all. Bosses are never frozen, only Chill-slowed, and take half damage.

Good to know

  • Whiteout stays where you cast it and ends early if you die, teleport, change world or log out. You cannot run two at once.
  • Bosses: never pushed by North Wind or frozen by Whiteout, but they do take Chill's Slowness, full Rimebolt damage and half Whiteout damage.
  • North Wind does no damage itself, but a thrown target can still take normal fall damage on landing.
  • While pledged to Boreas, sneak + F never swaps your hands and a bare-handed sneak + left-click never punches, even before those abilities unlock.
  • The in-game Abilities menu labels North Wind's end radius 'Trail width (blocks)' (2.6 at Guardian); it is a radius, not a width.

Hypnos

God of sleep · #BDA1EA

You get an 8-second memory of your hits. Echo fires a copy of your last hit, Soul Unmoored leaves a decoy body, Dream Repeats replays your recent hits.

What you get when you pledge

  • Lucid Memory
Your melee hits and bow or crossbow arrow hits are remembered for 8 seconds, damage capped at 12 (6 hearts), plus 8 seconds of your path. Ability damage is not recorded. Wiped on teleport, world change, death or logout. Same at every rank.
  • Memory readout
The Focus HUD, ability HUD and ability detail screen show your latest hit's kind (Sword, Axe, Melee, Projectile), how many hits are stored, and seconds left on the latest. With nothing stored it reads 'None - Echo uses Dreamstrike'.

Abilities

Echo of Tomorrow

Shoots a projectile

How to use: Sneak + F while looking straight at a mob or player. Any item may be held. With the Divine Focus in your main hand, left-click instead (no sneak).

What it does: Fires a dream strike at the first mob or player in your sights within 16 blocks. After a 0.35 s warning it flies straight, hits the first enemy it touches and stops at walls. Damage is 65% of your latest remembered hit, capped at 8 (4 hearts) on mobs and 3 on players at Disciple; with no memory, 4 on mobs and 2 on players. Targets can sidestep it.

Soul Unmoored

How to use: Empty both hands, sneak and left-click while standing still on solid ground. Repeat the input to return early. With the Divine Focus in your main hand, right-click instead.

What it does: Places a sleeping body where you stand; you walk away, still visible, with your real health. You cannot go more than 12 blocks from it. Up to 8 mobs targeting you switch to the body. You share one health: a hit on the body hurts you and ends it. After 6 seconds you return to the body. You can fight but not build, open chests or use commands.

Shoots a projectile

How to use: Double-sneak (two sneak presses within 0.45 seconds). With the Divine Focus in your main hand, sneak + right-click also works. Needs a remembered hit under 4 seconds old.

What it does: Fires your last 3 remembered hits again as dream strikes: a ghost copy of you walks your last 4 seconds of path and repeats them. Strikes fly straight, hit the first enemy in the way now and stop at walls. Each does 40% of the remembered hit, capped at 5 (2.5 hearts) on mobs and 2 on players; a cast hits at most 8 targets, 12 damage per mob.

Good to know

  • Early access: Hypnos is playable now for early-access testers only. Everything here can still change before the full release.
  • Echo always copies your latest remembered hit, whatever you hold now. Land a strong hit first, then cast within 8 seconds.
  • Memory caps at 12 damage, so Echo peaks at 7.8 on mobs (9.6 at Olympian) and Dream Repeats at 4.8 per strike (6.6 at Olympian).
  • Soul Unmoored is a decoy, not an escape: you stay visible and body hits hurt you. Bosses and scripted Mythic mobs are never redirected.
  • Echo and Dream Repeats hits pay no Skill XP, trigger no custom enchants and are never recorded as new memories. Dungeon zone kills still count.
  • While Hypnos is Private, Echo and Dream Repeats cannot damage players, nobody can hit your body, and ghosts and body are visible only to you.
