The Ascent: One Ladder, Twelve Skills
Every skill you train feeds one pool. Mining, farming, woodcutting, fishing, hunting, melee, archery, defence, crafting, brewing, enchanting and athletics are the twelve skills. Each keeps its own abilities, milestones and rewards, but the experience they earn all goes into one account ladder, called your Ascent level. You do not level twelve bars. You level one.
Each Ascent level gives you one skill point. You choose where it goes. A skill's level is 1 plus the points you have put into it, so 99 points fill a skill to its cap of 100. That is why the ladder ends at 1,189: twelve skills, 99 points each, plus the level you start on. The last level you earn fills the last skill exactly. No point is wasted at the top.
Your god changes how fast the pool fills, not what a point is worth. Every god blesses one skill (1.50x), favours two (1.25x), shuns two (0.85x) and is neutral to the rest (1.00x). Buff Week multiplies skill XP by 1.5 on top of that for the house holding it and the rest of its pantheon. Boosts, server rank bonuses and companion charms can raise the rate further. A point placed in archery buys the same level whoever trained you.
Daily caps slow farming, not normal play. Each skill counts its base XP for the day. The first 45,000 pays in full, the next 45,000 pays half, and everything after that pays a quarter. Server ranks from /ranks raise the full-rate band from rank 2 onward, every two ranks, up to 200,000 at rank 20. Donor ranks do not raise it. Caps are checked on base XP before your god's multiplier, so a blessed skill does not hit a cap sooner than a shunned one.
Skills are yours, not your god's. A house switch, a season reset or leaving your god never touches your Ascent level or your points. The only way points move is a respec: every point returns to the pool for 15,000 drachmae and a tribute of 500 favor. The tribute comes out of the favor you raised for your god, so your house's season score drops by 500 and your next rank in the Mysteries moves 500 favor further away. There is no free reset and no discount for a second one.
Mine, farm, chop, fish, hunt, fight, shoot, block, craft, brew, enchant or run. Every skill pays into the same account pool. A boss bar shows the gain while you work.
The pool climbs one ladder from level 1 to 1,189. Each level you reach gives you one skill point. A chat message and a title tell you the moment it lands. About nine points arrive in your first hour of focused play.
Type /skills (or /skills spend). The top-right card shows how many points you have, your Ascent level and how far you are from the next one. Click a skill card to select it. Selecting never spends anything.
Use the buttons on the bottom row. Spend 1 Point puts one point into the selected skill. Spend 10 Points puts ten in. Each button shows the exact number that will land, limited to the points you have and the room left in that skill. The Skill Details button shows the milestones, ability and XP sources without spending.
Each point raises the skill one level. Levels unlock its passives, its ability at level 10 and its milestone rungs, and they add to the total skill level the Mysteries read. Unspent points do nothing until you place them.
Click Reset Skill Points on /skills. The confirm screen shows the cost: 15,000 drachmae and 500 favor. Confirm and every point returns to the pool. Your abilities and milestones go quiet at once and come back as you place the points again. Your Ascent level stays. The tribute comes off your favor and your house's season score. There is no free reset.
